We absolutely loved working with Sam Scelta from Jack Ruddy Century 21. He's an incredibly kind person that really cares about getting you into your dream house. My wife and I started working with Sam several years ago and he's been an absolute professional. He's made it his goal to listen to our needs and try to find us the exact house we wanted. At times, he talked us out of making overpriced offers. In one instance, we were looking to buy a poorly-configured (but fully renovated) barnhouse. In the end this particular house WAS poorly configured and there was no way for us to add value to it. It was a subtle but very strategic point that helped us make the right decision to stay away. Beyond market trends, he also has loads of technical knowledge in terms of renovation ideas and renovation costs. He knows the materials and can provide very good estimates. He also knows the "eras". Depending on when the house was built, he suggested various things we should look out for. Sam has always answered our messages and has always been very responsive. MANY TIMES, we contacted him out-of-the-blue to see a house that JUST went up on the market (let's say 10 minutes ago) and he would instantly respond and try to schedule a showing. He's very easy going and approachable. He showed us dozens of houses in all of the years working with us - I don't think he took vacations. If you're looking to hire a Realtor that really cares, you don't need to look any further than Sam. In the end, he got us the house we wanted at a reasonable price in an overpriced market and I'll be forever grateful for it. If we ever sell, we'll be sure to give Sam from Century21 a call back!
